Happy new year dear visitors! I hope you all had a blast welcoming 2012 last night, and I wish you all the very best for the coming year. 2011 has been a great year for our girl , and we hope that 2012 will become just as great for her, if not even better – we here at Alyssa Milano Online will continue to support her! I would also like to thank all our regular visitors for visiting, and I truely hope that you will continue to follow us this year. Mandy and I have a lot of plans for Alyssa Milano Online – including lots of content updates, completing the charmed screencapture section, some new sections and more.
Inspired by our elite affiliate Teri Hatcher Web, Rachel McAdams Online and Isabel Lucas Online, I have decided to review this year of Alyssa, to give a summary of her 2011 (as well as our site). With the arrival of her dear baby Milo, release of new projects and so much more, it’s been a very busy year for our girl.
We started the year off with some good career releated news – Alyssa’s “Sundays at Tiffanys” had won the “Lifetime Movie of the Year 2010“! There was a total of 4200 votes – and Sundays at Tiffany’s recieved 1137 of them. SaT is one of our absolutely favorite films of Alyssas, and we thought the award was well deserved – 2011 was already looking good for our girl, and we where only on the second day!
On January 16, Alyssa made the first appearance of the year at the InStyle Warner Brothers Golden Globes Party. And she sure stepped out in style! Styled with one of our absolute favorite hair and makeup jobs, and a simple – yet stunning – black and white dress, Alyssa dazzled everyone whilst gracing the red carpet.
Alyssa kept quiet for the remaining parts of January, which gave Mandy and I plenty of time to work on some content and gallery updates. Well over 3 000 new photos found they’re way into our galleries this month, including a bunch of new charmed photos. Our icon archives also grew with well over 100 new icons. On the 22nd of January, we launched the second version of our site, designed by our oh-so-awesome friend Eny.
February also kicked off with some exiting news – Alyssa had been cast in the Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy “New Year’s Eve.”! Alyssas role was a nurse caring for an elderly patient who had nobody to spend New Year’s Eve with. The Gotham movie follows intertwining stories of characters trying to navigate their way through romance on the last night of the year, and was set for a release later the same year. We also got treated with two stunning stills of Alyssa from her other 2011-set film “Hall Pass”.
March came with news that ensured us that 2011 was not only going to be a good year for Alyssa personally, but for her career as well! On March 12, we could reveal that Alyssa was cast as a guest in an episode of FOXs “Breaking In”! We where also treated with yet another huge bunch of new event photos, as we got a hold of over 200 HQ images from the premiere of “Limitless” in New York, which Alyssa attented on March 8. She looked breathtakingly radiant in a golden top and jeans!
The news on their babys gender was quickly followed with some career releated news – Alyssa was chosen to present at the Genesis Awards! The awards pays tribute to the major news and entertainment media for producing outstanding works that raise public awareness of animal issues. The 25th Anniversary Genesis Awards was to be held a Saturday, on March 19, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, CA. For many of Hollywood’s compassionate celebrities, the annual Genesis Awards is a must attend event—an awards show like no other, where everyone comes together to celebrate the media for raising awareness of animal issues. At this award show, it really is as much an honor to present as it is to receive! Unfortunately, due to her dear dog Lucy getting cancer, Alyssa was not able to attend the event.
The next coming days was filled with lots of new articles on Alyssas pregnancy – including an article where she stated that she would not be naming her son before he was born, Judith Light Praises Alyssa Milano’s Pregnancy and Alyssa Milano Enjoying Her ‘Lovely Pregnancy’. Exept from a short article saying that Alyssa attented her “Fear” co-star Reese Witherspoons wedding, we got no more news the remaining parts of March. Alyssa kept quiet for a little while, most likely staying with her dear Lucy.
April began by giving us the very first look of Alyssa in “Breaking In“. The episode, entitled Tis Better to Have Loved and Flossed, aired April 13. April was also a good month for our site with the adds of screencaptures and photos from Alyssa Milano Onlines two favorite Alyssa projects – Sunday at Tiffanys and My girlfriends boyfriend.
In late April, Alyssa wrote a post for the Global Network, asking people to donate to keep the “Global Network for neglected tropical diseases” programe alive. Alyssa continued to show what an amazing philanthropist she is by attenting The Children’s Defense Fund benefit event a few days later, on the 20th of April. Lys wore a stunning black dress – and her baby bump was really beginning to get huge!
May was a pretty quiet month for our girl (and the site, which was on semi-hiatus due to computer issues), exept from the attendance at two new events – UNICEF’s Child Friendly Schools In Malawi Benefit and the Premiere of “The Hangover Part II”. We made up for the hiatus by adding screencaptures from four of Alyssa films in June though – Buying the cow, Embrace of the vampire, To Brave Alaska & Posion Ivy II! Alyssa also attented another event this month – the premiere of “Horrible Bosses”.
August held the biggest event of the year – Alyssa and David welcomed their baby boy, named Milo, on the 30th of August! US Weekly got an exclusive article on Alyssa and the baby in September, where she also posed with her dearest Milo for a photo.
October went by quietly, as Alyssa was probably taking a well deserved break as well as spending time with her new family. We got some new news on October the 21st though – Alyssa was to appear in the book “Art & Soul” from Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Brian Smith, which features portraits of celebrities who support TheCreative Coalition, as they share personal stories about the impact of art on their lives and on society.
November was a bad month for our site, as a server issue made us lose all the latest posts and updates Mandy and I had made on the site the past weeks – including the 1 year anneversary posts we made, as Alyssa Milano Online celebrated it’s first year online! It was a major set-back, as we had been working extremely hard the past days – but we where determined to continue nonetheless, and began re-doing what was lost.
Early December, we got yet another batch of jaw-droppingly stunning photos of Alyssa at the red carpet. She showed off her gorgeous post-pregnancy/labour body in a pretty black dress at the premiere for her film “New Years Eve“. Well over 100 images where added to our galleries from the event. Whilst fans loved the photos and her look at the event, most got a bit disappointed by the film – Alyssas role was very small, which we had unfortunately expected, as she was not featured in any of the film promotion. She still made a memorable performance, and her character was super cute!
To wrap up the year, Alyssa spent the christmas with her husband and Milo. As it was baby Milos first christmas ever, I’m sure Alyssa had a blast with her family. She tweeted an adorable photo of the threesome in front of a decorated christmas tree, and she looked extremely happy.
Favorites of 2011
Best red carpet look
This was a very tough one, as Alyssa looked breathtaking at every single event this year! Our three favorites though, was InStyle Warner Brothers Golden Globes Party as she looked absolutely dazzling, The Limitless New York Premiere where we got to see her baby-bump and the New Years Eve Los Angeles Premiere where she showed off her post-pregant body. The White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner look also deserves a special mention! Our absolute favorite though was the InStyle GG party.
Best News
This one however, was easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy: the arrival of Alyssas first child, baby Milo, offcourse! Her being cast in an episode of “Breaking in” and “New Years Eve” are not too far behind though.
Best Photoshoot and Magazine feature
We only got one new photoshoot this year – but I’m pretty sure it would’ve won with competition as well! The stunning photo of Alyssa and Milo melted all fans hearts. Best magazine feature goes to UK Weekly (which we soon hope to have scans from!), where Alyssa chatted about becoming a mom. The good interview and the fact that the pages where prettied up with stunning photos of Alyssa and milo made this a sure win!
Best Alyssa Quote
“The first time I saw Milo I finally understood my purpose in life,”
Best quote on Alyssa
“It’s kind of stunning to me that she’s old enough to have a baby because to me she’s still 10 years old… Alyssa is an extraordinary woman and I know she’ll be an amazing mother. She has a huge heart and she is a very committed person. She’s a great humanitarian and I think that will be the thread that runs through her being a mother. I wish her every joy in life. I just want to send her lots of love.” – Said by her former “Whos the boss” co-star and TV veteran Judith Light.
Best project in 2011
While we was very exited for “New Years Eve” all year, the film ended up disappointing us (or, the lack of Alyssa atleast!). Therefore, her guest role in “Breaking in” will have to win Alyssa Milano Onlines favorite project for 2011!
